Overall trip was good..but hold my credit card for security was told a security deposit will be held on my credit card and my funds would return to my card after stay, but was charge a room boarding fee for each night and after calling to dispute was told expedia should have told me. Expedia didnt take my credit card and told me one thing then did another thing. Deceitful.

My kids loved this hotel and the rooms are a great size.We stayed a Wednesday to a Friday, Thursday morning there was a sign on the pool that it was closed until further notice. When I asked the front desk about it, the gentleman was extremely rude. I heard other guests asking about the pool also, and he was short, unkind and irritated at everyone. We booked this hotel for the pool and we were given no details. On Friday when it was opened the pool and hot tub were freezing.

Staff was very friendly. We have been coming to Wild Dunes the last 7 year's for long weekends. It was supposedly upgraded and here is what we found. They removed the carpeting in the suites and replaced with cheap imitation hardwood flooring. Turned the shower on and turned faucet to hot and got cold water, turned faucet to cold and got hot water. Only new noticeable upgrade was they now have a digital keypad to enter the rooms, BUT the keypads are not backlit so you cannot see tge numbers at night to enter the code. The main automatic entry sliding door sounds like it wants to fall of the tracking as it jerks open. The worst part was we were sitting watching TV and a mouse came out from under the dishwasher saw us and went back uner the dishwasher. Overall it is not updated. Same appliances, TVs, DVD Player, 2 burner stove, bathroom is very dated with the toilet seat literally about 14" off the floor. Not impressed at all and am definitely considering finding a new regular place to stay for our long weekends. Wild Dunes was better before it was so called upgraded........
